
Dr. Judy Schnarr
Dr. Judy Schnarr graduated from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry in 1985. In 1986 she opened the Optometry Clinic that is now Pacific eyeDoctors®.
Professionally, Dr. Schnarr has served as chairman of Continuing Education for the Bristish Columbia Association of Optometrists. She also served on the executive of the Fraser Valley Association of Optometrists. Dr. Schnarr has been a clinical investigator for ophthalmic manufacturers and has spoken at contact lens seminars.
You may
run into her outdoors as she’s a fan of hiking,
swimming, and downhill and cross-country skiing. An ardent
student of nutrition, pilates and yoga, she is also the
proud mother of daughter Kate.
Dr. Jill Trotter
Dr. Jill Trotter grew up in Windsor, Ontario.
Competitive swimming along with the beautiful scenery brought
her
out to Simon Fraser University. After graduating from the
University
of Waterloo she headed back out to Maple Ridge in 1989
where she has practiced optometry with Pacific eyeDoctors® ever since.
She has combined her love of traveling
with
volunteer work by being part of eye care missions to Guyana,
South America, Jamaica and Punjab, India. She
thoroughly enjoys working with the great staff and doctors
at Pacific eyeDoctors®.
In her spare time, Jill loves to sing, swim and to enjoy the great outdoors with her partner and family.
Dr.
David Lennox
Dr.
Lennox received his doctorate from the New England College
of Optometry and also holds a Bachelor of Science degree.
He practiced in a private ophthalmology practice for several
years before joining Pacific eyeDoctors® in 1997.
Dr. Lennox practices full scope primary eye care for both
children and adults. His interests include the treatment
of eye disease, co-management of laser eye surgery and
vision development in children. Dr. Lennox is an alumni
representative for student admissions to the New England
College of Optometry and has served as an assessor for
the Canadian Standards Assessment of Optometry, the exam
which maintains the standards of practice of optometrists
in Canada.
Dr. Lennox very much enjoys practicing on the west coast
and welcomes both familiar and new faces to the office.
Dr. Harpinder Gill
Dr. Gill was born in Prince Rupert and raised in Surrey. He speaks Punjabi and Hindi.
He attended the University of British Columbia where he did his Bachelors of Science in Cell Biology and Genetics and a minor in psychology. He graduated with honor standings from Pacific University where he did his Doctorate in Optometry. Clinical externships completed at Pacific Cataract and Laser Institute in Washington State with emphasis on ocular diseases, Alderwood Vision Therapy with emphasis on pediatric vision therapy and traumatic brain injuries with adults, and Portland Medical Centre for pediatrics and family optometry.
In his spare time he enjoys participating in all types of sports; he played soccer for 11 years, hiking, tennis, hockey and basketball. He also enjoys working on computers and car audio systems.
Past volunteer work includes Geriatrics and Mobilization division at Surrey Memorial Hospital and UBC Hospital emergency room and admitting departments.
Current volunteer work includes Canadian Eyesight International which provides free eye screenings within the community alongside local ophthalmologists.
His main optometric interest is ocular disease management particularly involving the retina and associated neurology.
Dr. Satinder Bains
Dr. Satinder Bains, born and raised in south Vancouver, graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. He went on to complete his Doctor of Optometry with honors at Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon. Dr. Bains is a member of Beta Sigma Kappa, the International Optometric Honor Society.
His optometric interests include surgical co-mangement, ocular disease, and pediatrics.
Dr. Bains enjoys playing team sports, learning new languages and travelling. He speaks Punjabi fluently.
